Grocery store fixes:
(Grocery store fixes are things you can buy from a grocery store that you can use as beauty products. You'll save money, and it's fun)
Radiant skin
Mix sugar, honey and lime together. Spread the paste on your face, leave it for 20 minutes, then wash off with a good cleanser. TIP: Don't use too much lime!! An over-dose can be harmful to your skin. (As seen on page 89 of Seventeen magazine's February 2011 issue)
more coming soon

Tips:
Facial peeler
If your skin is any of theese:
~Unusually dry (even for winter)
~Skin care products don't work as well as they use to
~Skin just isn't as radiant or healthy anymore
then you probably need a good peeler. A peeler is a facial that peels away dead skin that prevents your new skin to live out it's full potential. It peels away all the dead skin that's just sitting on your face, to reveal new, healthy, beatiful skin.
Olay's face peeler is a good choice even though it costs $20!! But it will last a really long time. You can buy it in drugstores, walmart or kmart.
Another option is Clinique's face peeler. It's a bit more pricey and it doesn't have as much in it, but Clinique skin care products are always very good!!
Skin lightener
If you have (or had) acne scars like me, a skin lightener is a very handy beauty product to have. It's usually a lotion that you spread over the areas where you your acne scars are, daily. Over time, they'll disapear like you never had acne at all. (doesn't help with the pimples themself, though.)

Makeup

Looks:
~The smokey eye
The smokey eye look is my personal favorite. You can dress it up or down however you want to, use whatever colors you please, and it's a perfecr look for any kind of event.

~Natural
Natural is always a good choice. Just a little mascara, mabey a little tiny bit of eyeliner, and light eyeshadow (cream is the best way to go with this look) and you're good to go.

~Bold
Not always the best choice but if you can pull it off, it'll be a show stopper that everyone will remember the next day.

~Glam
I love Glam. Especially Glam Rock!! Though you can't really wear it with any outfit or to any event, it's a hot look when you can.

~Sleek
The sleek look has been around since the 40's, mabey even longer. But no matter how old, it's still an attention getter. It's a look that Megan Fox is famous for. Celebrities love to wear this look to red carpet events but you can still wear it safey everyday (if you leave out the red lipstick).

FAVORITE MAKEUP BRANDS
~Coastal Scents
Costal Scents is in my top 3 favorite cosmetic brands. They're affordable, have a good variety, and are very good over-all products. Eyeshadow is it's biggest (and best) product. You really need to check them out!!
Coastalscents.com (Be sure to check out my favorite eyeshadow palette while you're there!! 88 Metal Mania Palette)

~BHCosmetics
BHCosmetics is a lot like Coastal Scents. Although they don't have as big of a variety as Coastal Scents has, they're products are just as afforable and amazing!! My favorite BHCosmetics product is their foundation primer. A little goes a long way, it's affordable and it's a product that will make your foundation look even better!!

~Wet N' Wild
Wet N' Wild is a very cheap makeup brand that you can find in any drugstore.  Most of the time it's avoided because the prices are so cheap. 'You get what you pay for.' Well, in this case, that saying is FAR from the truth. I got a Wet N' Wild eyeshadow palett for christmas and was very standoffish at first. But I tried it, and it's one of my favorite eyeshadows now!! Great colors, they go on great, feel great and are REALLY good quality that you would never expect from a drugstore.

~e.l.f.
e.l.f. (eyes lips face) are a lot like Wet N' Wild but even cheaper!! But they're really good quality, as well. I have an order on the way from their website that should get her today or tomorrow and I can't wait!!
eyeslipsface.com Don't forget to look at their brushes!! (Use code ship25 for free shipping on orders $25 or more)

Hair Care

My favorite Hair Products
(When it comes to frizzy hair, I know what I'm talking about!! :/ I put Hermione to shame)
The hydrating Herbal Essence products like their shampoo and conditioner can work wonders on frizzy hair.
Pantene products are really good products for any kind of hair. They just recently came out with many new kinds of shampoos, conditioners and styling products. Curly, thick, normal, blonde, brunette, red and more. They've got it and they work great.
Another great hair line for frizz is Dove. It is my favorite kind of shampoo and condition, ect. for my thick and frizzy hair. Enough said. :)
Great Shine: Coconut Milk
Coconut Milk is a bit expensive compared to other hair care products at $7 compared to the usual $5 (for most products). BUT, it's just amazing, and a little goes a long way so it lasts a long time. In my opinion, it's worth the money.

Grocery fixes for hair

(as seen on page 111 of Seventeen magazine's March 2011 issue)
'seal split ends'
Ingrediants:
1) Coconut oil
2)apple cider vinegar
~ Rub a few drops of coconut oil between your palms, then run yor hands through your hair (just avoid the roots)
~ Wait 15 minutes for the oil to sink in, then hop in the shower and shampoo your hair. Rinse it with cold water.
~ Next, pour 1 cup apple cider vinegar (diluted with a little bit of water) over your head, and follow with another cool rinse.

'Create beachy waves'
Ingrediants:
1) Sea salt
2) Hot water
~ Mix 2 teaspoons of sea salt (not table salt!) into 1 cup boiling water until the salt dissolves.
~ Once the mixture cools, pour it into a spray bottle.
~ Mist it into your hands, not directly on your hair (so you don't over-do it), and finger-comb through damp hair from roots to ends. Let your hair air-dry.

'Get awesome shine' (My favorite)
Ingredaiants:
1) Banana
2) Olive oil
3) egg
4) yogart (plain)
5) honey
~ Crush 1 banana in a bowl; add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 egg, and 2 tablespoons plain yogart. Mix the ingrediants into a paste.
~ Apply paste from roots to ends. Cover hair with plastic wrap; let mask set for 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.
~ Squeeze all excess moisture from your hair, then combine 1 teaspoon honey with 1 cup of cool water, stirring until the honey dissolves. Pour the mixture over your hair, but don't rinse it out -- just towel-dry and style as usual.
